ROOG is a Dutch DJ who has a large fanbase as a result of his mix of House, Soulful House and Techhouse. What else should we say about the man called "God DJ"? ROOG (Rogier van Bueren) popped onto the scene in the late 90s. His groundbreaking 3-decks (nowadays 4-decks) performances and the seamless merging of the different kinds of house music, quickly gave him the necessary attention. Because of his unique way of turning, with his own re-edits, he gained a lot of respect from those who left their tracks on the scene, such as Erick Morillo and Mark Knight. He has also been a major influence on a whole new generation of DJ / producers. Although he is also called a "DJ's DJ", his greatest talent is hypnotizing the audience, which has earned him the popularity award in the Netherlands since 2000.
This hard-working turntablist is not content with having one of the most successful careers in the Dutch house scene, he is also part of the most successful and influential duo of the country, Hardsoul and HouseQuake. Hardsoul (with his brother Greg) is single-handedly responsible for making soulful and Latin house popular in the Netherlands through their legendary 'Sound of Love and Dedication' series. Internationally, they were the first Dutch artists signed to the globally respected house label Defected. On this label, they released tracks such as 'Back Together' and 'Self Religion'. After the success of these releases, they did a world tour with the Defected In The House concept and that brought them to all corners of the world. In 2009, they were honoured with the task of making a Defected In The House compilation, with other specially chosen acts such as, Masters At Work, Martin Solveig, Dennis Ferrer and Bob Sinclar.
