The career of Oliver Alexander started out like many other artists. He finished high school and went directly to study Business Administration. Four years later, he was working as a marketing manager in a multinational company. He dreamed from an early age of a career as a singer-songwriter. He decided to talk to his boss and to quit his position as a marketing manager.

In 2013, he managed to complete a course in songwriting at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He received the highest grade. After his training, he was able to build an entire band. In April 2015, he released his first EP 'Transmission'. This EP was produced by the team behind VanVelzen, Blof and Miss Montreal. The single 'I'm Gonna Love You More' won the NPO Radio 6 Talent. With his band, he often performs at pop and jazz festivals and he has also performed with Alain Clark, Gare Du Nord and Shirma Rouse. Oliver also played live several times in De Wereld Draait Door.

In 2016, he chose a new musical direction. He changed his jazz influences completely, for a new pop sound. In March 2016, he launched his new single 'Horizon' that really caught the public’s attention. This single was a preview of his debut album, that was released in early 2017.
